Our Mission

The mission of the non-profit “Associazione culturale Artemisia Gentileschi" is to identify and bring attention to the many women artists beyond Artemisia: the ‘Artemisie’ of the past and the ‘Artemisie’ of the present, through innovative research, publishing, exhibitions and educational programs.

La missione dell’associazione culturale non-profit "Artemisia Gentileschi" è di identificare e valorizzare le tante donne artiste oltre Artemisia: le Artemisie del passato e le Artemisie del presente, attraverso ricerca innovativa, pubblicazioni, mostre e programmi educativi.

It is therefore, with joy and anticipation, that we share the news of the opening of the Artemisie Museum on March 8, International Women’s Day 2022! The first virtual museum-database of women in the arts: from Artemisia to the ‘Artemisie’.
